Hi I'm Kate, Owner/Groomer of K8sK9s Groom Room.

Born in the Waikato I lived there until I decided to move to the UK for 7 years where I had my daughter, after moving back to NZ we lived in Hamilton for a number of years until an amazing job opportunity in the building industry came up in Tauranga which gave me the added advantage of bringing me closer to my parents who lived here also.

I have always loved animals and had grown up with pets around me but it wasn't until I settled in Tauranga that I got my first dog, Dougii, the sweetest, kindest cavoodle I have ever met, he cemented my passion for dogs which has only increased over the years.

Some 6 years ago we also got the chance to add one more fur family member to our group, along came Jimmy the Sydney Silky x Jack Russell, who's full of beans with the cheekiest attitude. He is the Yin to Dougiis Yang and they are truly the best of brothers and friends.

In our spare time, we love to go walking, running, cooking and spending time with other fur babies and family. After almost 15 years in the Building Industry, I decided I wanted to follow my passion and put my grooming skills (and qualifications) to good use and start my own small business working from home where I can offer a calm, relaxed environment to our guests, to me, it's not about the number of dogs I groom, it's about the experience and the pride I put into each and every groom, I want every pet parent to know that when their pet is with us, they are in safe hands. We are super excited to welcome you and your fur baby to K8s K9s.
